Help us build the next chapter
Stricklandgate House is more than just a beautiful building. It’s a home for voluntary organisations serving our community, and a place where people can find connection and support.
Our £5.5 million redevelopment will restore and protect our Georgian building and create a welcoming Community Hub and Community Lounge. Together these spaces will give people more opportunities to meet, belong and enjoy all that Stricklandgate House offers, for generations to come.
The National Lottery has generously funded a significant proportion of the project costs, and we’ve raised a further £790,000 ourselves.
We’re nearly there — just £48,000 left to raise!
Every donation, whatever its size, will help bring this exciting project to life.

The Trust
Stricklandgate House Trust Limited was set up in 1993 to provide accommodation and common services and facilities for voluntary organisations in South Lakeland. The Trust has always striven to ensure that the lettings are priced to cover costs without profit. It has been able to use external charitable donations to provide improvements and additional facilities that basic rents do not cover.
